Is It Time to End "Parliamentary Sovereignty"?
Parliamentary Sovereignty, imposed by the Victorian House of Lords, means elected governments are short term dictatorships, corruption incarnate. It's time for constitutional representative democracy.

Sovereign means what it says: “like a king”. Think about what kings were like, before people gained the right to vote.
Yes, corrupt feudalism. A monarch or oligarchy, a few well-rewarded enablers, and the rest of the people with no rights, used as tools, disposed of at will, exploited and fleeced to the point of the first born, often to the point of starvation. The world, a series of unconcentrated concentration camps.
We have had a series of changes, but things seem to keep slipping back to that.
Why?
🚨If politicians can
💣 lie to get votes (fraud),
💣 break election promises (breach of contract)
💣 destroy citizens and deplete the common wealth to enrich a few (breach of fiduciary duty)
… then
💥 YOU DON’T HAVE REPRESENTATIVES
💥 YOU DON’T HAVE DEMOCRACY
💥 YOU HAVE SHORT TERM DICTATORSHIPS BY WHOEVER BUYS THOSE POLITICIANS.
The laws which prevent fraud and make society work
We have a highly developed system of contract, employment and other laws which are essential to make our entire society workable.
Fraud and other provisions of the Crimes Act.
Contract legislation including the Contractual Remedies Act.
The Fair trading act.
Yet none of these apply to our most important organisation of all - our government.
What would happen to our society and commerce if the law did not prevent companies’ elected officers and other positions of trust committing fraud, breaking their contracts, and the law did not impose duties of competence, honesty, loyalty, disclosure, to act in the interests of the company, etc (fiduciary duty).
“Rationale”
We are told, 1984 style, that such duties would “open floodgates” of litigation, ignoring that history shows they not only didn’t, but they were essential to close floodgates of corruption and theft. They prevent most employees/agents even trying to betray principals in the first place, punish and recover reparation from the few who do. They are essential for any organisation, commerce, and society as a whole, to function.
Then we are told, 1984 style, the Victorian parasitic class view that duties to “commoners” (citizens) and state will lead to “mob rule”: Which flies in the face of fact and logic.
First, how could the will of all, be worse than that of the few most parasitic exploiters?
Second, it fails to consider entrenching protections of human rights and the common wealth (which includes infrastructure, and the environment). Such protections - which unlike injustice, don’t drive people to revolutions - can be entrenched by requiring super-majority referenda to overturn.
Third, 98% of people are not greedy or malicious. We just want to get on harmoniously and enjoy our rented time on earth. We don’t want to take what we don’t need from others who need it it is human nature to give, share and help. It is deprivation, and greed, that breeds injustice. In fact the malice and malignant greed which generates parasitic exploitation seems to often be a product of trauma, injustice and hubris largely created by religion.
Which is a circular argument. The parasitic classes create a “mob” by deprivation of education, financial security, and incitement to divide and conquer. Without parasitic rule and exploitation, the “mob” have no axes to grind. It is deprivation. and greed, that breeds injustice.
Origin
Parliamentary sovereignty as originally created in the English Bill of Rights Act 1689 contained no concept of parliamentary immunity, and there is no recorded discussion of legal accountability of the new Parliament to its appointors, although it was discussed some years earlier.
The unelected UK House of Lords ‘legislated’ this selective impunity of governments with no authority, based on opinions of 2 toadies: Blackstone and Dicey. For THEIR robber/parasite class to continue to subjugate everyone else and pillage public resources and wealth others create.
instead of doing what they are employed to do - look after the people and country, and carry out their election promises.
That invention is why the parasitic class are not taxed and own half the world. It’s not binding on our courts.
The solution
It is not binding on New Zealand Courts but is treated as if it was our law. It’s not, and its contrary to our Bill of Rights. Our law enforcement agencies need to get some spine.
Or we need a written constitution specifically imposing our laws, and a binding Bill of Rights, on our politicians and governments, and requiring a 75% or more referendum to change it. So we can’t be tricked or divided again.
We urgently need to elect a government that will put an end to this (permanently, entrenching it), since the Courts haven’t.
In the US:
Bad news. According to Tad Stoermer, US expat professor,
“Stop Worshipping the Founding Fathers—They Designed the American System to Screw You
“Let’s talk about the most embarrassing delusion in modern American political culture: mostly white people breathlessly embracing the Founding Fathers like they’re on the same team.
“They’re not.
“The founders explicitly hated democracy. They called it mob rule. And when they said “the mob,” they meant everyone who didn’t walk, talk, and look like them. They designed a republic to keep power away from ordinary people and lock it in the hands of a white, Protestant, property-owning elite. They said this plainly. Repeatedly. In writing.
“Your Hamilton t-shirt doesn’t make you a revolutionary. It makes you a mark for the same anti-democratic con the founders ran in 1787.
“The founders weren’t building the multiracial democracy we have today. They were explicitly trying to prevent it. They would have opposed universal suffrage. They would have seen modern America as “tyranny of the majority.”
“Stop standing for people who designed a system to exclude you. Stop pretending you would’ve been in the room in Philadelphia instead of being called the mob they needed to control. Stop treating the Constitution as sacred when it was written by people who thought democracy was a threat to their power.
The more interesting American story is resistance to the founders, not of them.“
The United States has given us the perfect blueprint of how the parasites use “Parliamentary sovereignty” to BUY governments, courts, states and human lives:
Their ultimate desperate gambit for power: the only occurrence in history of the invention of a literal Right to Lie.
ONLY when the people impose and enforce the essential legal duties on their congress, courts and administration, will the power of the parasites be gone.
